Trainer Recordings

DaDesktop offers a few different methods for capturing desktop activity and course sessions. These fall into three categories: Troubleshooting recordings, Training Room recordings, and Trainer recordings.

Trainer recordings focus specifically on the Trainer's DaDesktop machine. Here's how a Trainer can begin recording their own machine's session.

 

1. Click the three vertical dots to open a small dropdown menu. From that menu, select 'Connect (with session recording)'

   An audio/video capture of the Trainer machine begins, though it won't be accessible for review until after you close the virtual classroom, at which point the recording is finalized. Note that SuperAdmin users have an extra menu choice to watch live recordings as they happen.

3. To review and manage your recordings, click the 'cog' icon and then the Recordings menu.

 

Recordings

 

There are a couple of ways to view Trainer recordings of their own machine.

1. You can access them through the Recordings menu, as described above. From there, recordings can be played back or deleted when needed. The icon with the double spanner represents 'Troubleshooting Recordings'—these are created automatically, not for presentation, but for diagnosing issues as they come up.

  2. Through the 'Recordings' tab within a course, we can look at the Trainer recordings, Training Room recordings, and Troubleshooting recordings.
