PC Farm (Bare metal)

Beyond a cloud solution, DaDesktop gives you access to bare metal physical desktops or servers.

This setup is for scenarios where each participant gets one physical machine, and it's been used in the following use cases, where participants need access to:

1. the whole server without virtualization for performance or licence reasons (ONAP, OpenStack)
2. devices that can't be virtualized (some GPUs, Mellanox cards where firmware changes are part of the course, other network equipment, etc.)

Also, this solution can be used with an existing physical classroom in Canada with only minimal modifications. This allows the trainer to set up the classroom without having to be there in person.

The Cloud Desktop used in the cloud can be directly deployed and used on participants' physical machines.

Requirement for onsite deployment

This solution calls for the purchase of physical control cables (known as ddnexus), which cost about 100 USD each per desktop.
