1. For Power BI and VBA, does DaDesktop (DD) include Excel? (Since MS Excel functions are needed)

1. No, we don’t supply MS Office inside DD (Win10 & Win11 Pro). What we offer is a DD VM along with a training room.
2. The trainer(s) ought to arrange a free-trial account of MS Office for every delegate.
3. Alternatively, they should rely on their own account for MS Office.

2. Can I move something from my own desktop over to my DD desktop?

1. Yes, we’ve provided a straightforward way to upload files from your own machine to the DD Desktop. One minor restriction is that at present, only a single file can be transferred at one time. That said, it’s simple to create a zip or archive containing all the files you require, which can then be moved over effortlessly to your DaDesktop machine.
2. If you’re using a cloud storage system, please remember to sign out from your cloud storage before cloning to all delegates.

3. Why does the text in DD appear blurry, unclear, or even invisible?

1. If you’re working with the Chrome Browser, please navigate to: "chrome://settings/system" and turn off the Hardware acceleration option.

4. Are trainers permitted to access the NobleProg wiki?

1. No, https://hr.nobleprog.com/trainer/register in the Terms and Conditions, specifies that a trainer may not access the wiki.
2. If you need to send material for editing on the NobleProg wiki, please copy and paste it and send it to the trainer via email; (a PDF is also fine).

5. Are there any domains we can whitelist when employing a proxy or content/network filtering to ensure smoother operation?

6. How can I set up multiple desktops when using DD, like for Ansible Training?

1. The trainer(s) can initially configure and select the DD settings (RAM, CPUs, and Disk).
2. Next, set up Virt Manager or VirtualBox inside DD to create several virtual machines within DD, and establish networking between the VMs.
3. Once the setup is complete, you can clone to delegates within seconds.

7. What’s the server capacity?

1. It hinges on the server hardware.
2. For instance: 512GB RAM can be utilised as 512GB *3.
3. The maximum disk per server is 250GB, with 16 CPU threads per desktop, and RAM configurations can be tailored.

8. Can I download the video from the training recordings?

1. Yes, recordings can now be downloaded via the three small dots to the right of the video player.
2. There is voice recording included in the video if you use the audio from the training room.

9. Which browser should I use for DD?

1. Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Opera work flawlessly.
2. Other browsers such as IE aren’t fully supported.

10. Why is there a significant delay when using DaDesktop?

1. Check your network connection; DaDesktop relies on your local connection speed.
2. Verify your server location: when the coordinator sets up the desktop, they’ll always pick a server close to the participants.
3. Switch off your VPN, or set it to PAC mode. Also, please disable any security applications, particularly those that interfere with WebSocket operation, which is essential for smooth DaDesktop functioning.

11. WebSocket is blocked or not supported by the network

         Accessing Remote Desktop depends on WebSocket

1. This might be your device that’s blocking it. Inspect any settings or configurations that restrict WebSocket. For example, on some Chromebooks, within proxy settings, if the checkbox "Use the same proxy for all protocols" is ticked, WebSocket won’t function (because it assigns the "SOCKS host" a proxy). Untick it, and leave "SOCKS host" empty. This should resolve the issue.
2. The issue could also be the network, not your device. You’ll need to speak with your network administrator or have them unblock WebSocket.

12. What GPU support do you provide, e.g., for 3D applications and so on?

13. Are there any potential issues or fixes?

1. Generally, using DaDesktop is much like using any regular Windows or Linux machine, but there are a few minor snags that may crop up when using specific software applications in a training setting, especially around cloning machines.

14. Do you support Mac-compatible programs or Mac emulation?

1. No, we don’t offer support for Mac-compatible programs or Mac emulation, mainly owing to licensing concerns that are frequently brought up.
