Roadmap

DaDesktop Training Roadmap

  1. Training materials organisation – Better integration with trainer materials, user notes, presentations, and more.
  2. Auto Upscaling Desktop – if a participant’s or trainer’s desktop runs out of resources, additional CPU, RAM, and disk space should be added automatically, without interrupting the desktop.
  3. Real time subtitles with translations – for example, when a trainer speaks English to Japanese participants, they can read real-time Japanese subtitles (available for customers who selected "Preview features").
  4. Real time interpretation with AI – Japanese participants can listen to real-time Japanese interpretation, even if the trainer is speaking English.
  5. Participant assistant –  the system helps participants during labs, suggesting the next step or alerting them if an exercise was done incorrectly, providing quick feedback when a user gets stuck. Also known as the Participant Assistant Agent (available in Preview features).
  6. Statistics – course coordinators and stakeholders can view user participation.

DaDesktop for Work (DD4W)

  1. Public Cloud – currently, DaDesktop for Work is available only for private deployments. We're working to make DD4W available as a public cloud service across Canada.
  2. Better encryption integration – at present, encryption setup is handled solely by the operating system; allowing users to integrate it with DaDesktop. A GUI would streamline the process (for example, users wouldn’t need to type a password into the machine, since the system already knows who they are).
  3. Auto-switch Remote replica – the system will create or detect the nearest remote replica to reduce lag and improve the user experience.

DaDesktop Labs/Self-study

  1. The system gives users feedback on their lab progress.
  2. Creator studio – lab creators can easily edit recordings online and synchronize them with lab instructions, desktop templates, and other resources (already available in Beta).
